I know Quark 6 is a horrible clunky nightmare but this is weird.

There's not the slightest chance you've been working on a different document? I've occasionally done it before...

What back-up software are you using? Most programs will alert you if a file of the same name has an earlier modification date...

What file info did you 'play around with'?

I use the one found in the link below. I love it. It is MADE for the 11'' MBA. Fits the computer perfectly.

IE6 is not very forgiving. If it works in Firefox then you most likely have html error(s)... things like missing close brackets /> and table cell <td></td> can effect that in IE6 where other browsers assume it's there and will still work. Have you tried and html validator?

The HTML is fully valid, i tried it on a couple old dells and it worked on there IE6 so i am assuming it was a problem with the multi ie installation i have on my vm.

It would be neat to mod that somehow with Sims 2. Make it feel like you're "in the game." Then again, your guests may start to think that you "have no life." ;)

If the photos are on the SSD drive, then yes they will launch faster than if on the HDD. Now that said, if they are just average say 2MB JPG photos the difference will not be huge. If it is a very hi-res photo say 10MB JPG the difference will be more noticeable.

The recruitment seminar is really relaxed and you will get through it as long as you be yourself, engage with the recruiters and other people there and ask plenty of questions at the end regarding the job. Don't come over too much as a hardcore Apple fanboy but talk about how much you can't put down your iPhone/iPod. During the group exercises, make sure you try and come over as a good leader but good team player at the same time - make sure that your ideas are part of the main focus but be sure to agree with ideas that you wish you though of. Otherwise, just enjoy it as it's really relaxed and you will spend most of the two and a half hours watching a presentation, videos and doing some group exercises. They get through hundreds of CV's at a time and to get the chance to be considered is a good achievement. Just out of interest, what store are you thinking of joining and what position are you after?

Have you tried to use an external monitor, that would tell you if your gfx chip is bad.

Yes, external monitor looked like the second photo. Now everything is back looking like the first photo.

I have found SL to be very stable.

At this point in time, I think apple has a very stable OS. Third party drivers have been out for a while, lot of the bugs that have snuck through 10.6.0 have been dealt with. It is a solid product to use at this stage.

The Apple Store here is closing from 4-6 to get ready for the Leopard release. I can't see what they need 2 hours to get ready for.:confused:

During the iPhone launch, we had some hands-on and a meeting also.

im getting pissed at sprint because their 3G plans suck total ass. they have not planned mac compatibility with ANY of their new phones, so they will soon be getting the axe from me. If apple doesnt come out with a new phone by mid2003, then I will by the Moto v600 which should be out by that time.

Average clamshell size, 65k color screen, bluetooth, midi/mp3/jpg/png/etc support...word.
