Ok cool thank you, you pointed me in the right direction. I used this code
[NSApp activateIgnoringOtherApps: YES];
[window makeKeyAndOrderFront: self];

I really think the implementation of Core Animation has been overlooked...this technology looks amazing, imagine what it could do to interface design! Finder overhaul with Core animation would COMPLETELY make Vista look like 1998....

I created a Charlie Sheen iPhone App (http://charliewins.tumblr.com/) last week which is in Review right now and should be released at any moment. It is pretty darn funny too. I am actually surprised not to see other apps like this out there. I guess apple just takes a while to approve.

Did a search for this to no avail, but here's the scenario:
- Recently switched from AT&T to Verizon.
- Had a jailbroken iP4 before with no issues (used GP)
- Jailbroke Verizon iP4 (4.2.6) with GP out of box.
- Everything works fine with one exception: the camera app takes a solid 30-40 seconds to load (remains on the shutter screen). Once it's loaded, it seems to open fine for the first couple times, but the problem continues to persist.
I have tried removing it from the multi-task bar, as well as once it has successfully loaded, making sure it is in-fact in the multi-task bar, but nothing has seemed to work.
Never had this problem with the AT&T iP4.
And as I'm writing this post, from the camera app still has not successfully loaded, and it's been at least 2-3 minutes.

Bahahaha, I can just see someone looking at that and going "Cool. Seems legit."
A hacker who was also an adept writer would be really dangerous.
Even then, the download link that is clearly NOT the Apple website would give it away. No point going to too much effort to make it any more convincing. You are only hoping to fool the incredibly stupid anyway - which by the way is a surprisingly huge amount of computer users.

This will be the thread dealing with the West County :apple: Store and the St. Louis Galleria :apple: mini Store.
I'm actually teetering on whether I should get it immediately. Hmm... Half of a Christmas present perhaps? :D

Another question:
...Tired of my company Websites looking like a third grader did them.
The site you listed in your profile? I don't think a third grader could make that. Maybe a fourth grader, but definately not a third grader.;)

^^^^^ That's actually a Classical Guitar. The neck does tend to be wider than a regular acoustic guitar, and the strings are nylon instead of metal.
I learned how to play guitar on a classical. That's what was provided by the guitar school and my high school's guitar class.
It's a good guitar to learn on. The neck is so wide that when you switch over to a regular acoustic or an electric guitar, it'll be much easier to play.

No worries - life is too short -
I just couldn't find a direct reference to SMS backup in the iTunes help files - or the iPhone user manual...
Yeah it is a bit confusing, for certain.
A backup/restore will restore your SMS, photos, safari history/bookmarks, call history, etc. It will also reinstall App data (usernames, games saves, etc)
And again, sorry, and welcome!

I have a iPod Touch, I believe it is a 3G. I have the App "Talking Tom" which is a cat who repeats whatever you say in a funny voice. The kids use it on their parents iPhone. I want to get a microphone to work with this App. I don't want the one with earplugs. It needs to talk out loud so others can hear it, it is hysterical. So what will work with it?
Thanks Guys, and Gals,

Just stand in front of a mirror, and it will work fine. :) :apple:
(when it comes to the iPhone camera, Apple is really lagging behind. The small touch-screen camera button is terrible. The Droid has a real, physical camera button like a real camera. Come on Apple, get with the program!)

Everything you read is true, folks.
Especially from the National Enquirer.
Especially when you write it - that image is in no way related to the National Enquirer. You're worse than you even claim them to be!
I suspect the fact that the NE focusses on celebrity gossip and slanderous private-life reputation-destroying stories has people confusing 'sleaze' with 'fantasy'. If the NE went after politicians and corrupt govt or even corporate officials with equal gusto, like the mainstream media used to before they sold out, they'd be hailed as one of the nation's leading lights of the free press and truth.
This here is a more genuine example of the sort of absolute total BS lies the National Enquirer runs with, otherwise known as 'the facts':

Screw that. I vote they move towards a naming system like with OSX. Instead of using big cats, they use fruit.
Next iteration of iPhone = iPhone Banana.
After that, iPhone Papaya.
The full name Apple iPhone Banana makes it sound like the device is edible.

Is there any way to restore individual apps from iTunes, without completely restoring from a backup? I have lots of save data in a backup of my iPhone, but I don't want to completely restore the device. I am jailbroken if that's required, but an iTunes-direct method would be best. Ideas?
there is a new app called "DataDeposit" on cydia, it does backup your apps data to your dropbox account. haven't tried it yet but the concept is cool.
make sure to refresh cydia and type DataDeposit in the search box without space.

There are various profiles (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/H.264/MPEG-4_AVC#Profiles) in H.264 video, which basically dictate how complicated the decompression can be. Older software might only play Baseline video, and High is often an issue even for current software. The iPod compatibility checkbox constrains the profile to one of the more basic ones.
