Food Packaging is a HUGELY moot topic here in the UK.
Namely fresh goods (fruit/veg/meats etc) and how completely wastefully packaged up they have all become. It disgusts me when for example I see fruit such as apples or pears, sat in polystyrene trays and then shrink wrapped and labelled up!
Chances are, you are actually paying more for this packaging than the products within, let alone the negative impacts it has on the environment in terms of production and (if any) recycling.
Same applies with a whole myriad of food types, and its more a cultural issue perhaps than anything. We have become obsessed with a certain expectation of 'perfection' and that everything must be delivered and presented to us in ship shape condition, free of artifacts or the possibility of contamination.
It would be great to see this issue addressed (chiefly in supermarkets might I add) face on, and it might be more a campaign of advertising than perhaps packaging (of the type I mention)
If however, certain packaging is to be dropped it will have to be replaced with something that still fulfils certain levels of quality & protection etc. This is certainly a design challenge on a few levels, but if there is one thing designers are good at, its thinking laterally about a problem and actually seeing the negatives in existing products/systems etc as being fantastic gateways for improvement.

partitioning drives is not something i recommend.
i'm kind of wondering...did you buy a brand new computer, or was it used and therefore the drive is not formatted?

I didn't know I had a poultry hard drive. But it explains a lot of the problems I have been having, like the feeling of being hen-pecked by Steve Jobs, and the funny noises I have been hearing from my MBP.

You should be able to buy heatsink gel at any serious computer store (not best buy, et al). Please be forewarned, I've never personally done that, but I know that stuff is out there.

if your rating is low (I would say below 10) I would recommend that you just buy a bunch of cheap crap just for the feedback. I know they sell a lot of postcards and things for like a quarter. Other than that, I agree with ITASOR. The photo(s) makes or breaks the sale. Look at some other Imac g4 photos and see what looks good and what doesn't.
And last but not least, don't gouge on shipping. that's just tacky.

the two copies of X are fine. i have several copies/versions in my MP with no issue. and one more on an external firewire drive actually come to think of it...

If you could spend time modding PHPBB to be more SEO, imagine how much better VB would be with that sime time spent optimizing it's SEO capabilities. It's ahead to begin with, the same amount (or less) of time will push it way out of PHPBB's reach.
You know I agree with you. The hardest part is convincing the client to pay for the license, but if I tell the client it will cost more optimizing phpbb for SEO than the cost of the license he may go for it.
His competition uses phpbb.
Would you rather post on a site that uses vBulletin or phpbb. I know I would prefer vBulletin but would the average user know a difference?

The i5 is much faster than a C2D. The GPU isn't any slower. That should answer your question about playing games.
However, I'm not going to help you lie. If your MB is getting so hot that it really is burning you, that sounds broken to me. Besides, what happens when you try to present a broken computer and they figure out it really works just fine?

I don't think they will let you have the iPhone 3G S until 8am because that's what it says on Apple website. For 5th avenue store it is different, but for stores in malls are they going to change the mall hours to accommodate lines forming or will people only be allowed in at 8am? My mall doesn't open until later than 8am on Friday, does this mean my Apple Store won't be participating in the 8am opening and will simply open when the mall does?
