I don't think you read his question- He/She wanted to know if the FP can be done in an American Consulate General in India if he gets his FP notice while he/she is in India.
Does anyone know of this situation and if any consulate in India can do the FP?
If you get your FP notice while in the US go to the ceter any day at 7.45 am before the center opens and request the staff to do the FP.They generaly oblige.I did it in Los Angeles.

Almost a good percentage of IV members are ready to file their I-140/I-485. I was one of the fortunate ones who will be able to file I485, due to the date moving from 2001 to 2003 last month for Eb3. The moment I got this happy news that I can file I-485, I celebrated by contributing $20 to IV. And my request to all of you who are in good spirits as of today due to the dates being current for I140/485, please do the same. This will help IV to continue fighting for the removal of retrogression to the best extent. I am sure all of us agree with me, that there is a long way to go in the journey of this GC. So, please contribute.

It looks to me like they made a mistake on the valid dates for the new EAD. That happened to me last year, I received my new EAD card and it was only good for 1.5 months.
I had to mail them the card and after a couple of calls and some headaches they sent me a new EAD card, this time valid for 2 years.

Folks, I know this is a difficult time for many of us, especially Eb3 folks, but please don't loose your cool. Writing just on the forum will not get you anything. Contact your chapter leaders try to organize by actual calling each others. Learn what intiatives are already underway.
In the past there had been several discussion on filing lawsuit , doing this , doing that etc but not a single one of them even moved beyond this forum. If you are interseted I can give you those examples.
Now, let me share with you a story:
Belling the Cat
Long ago, the mice (folks on this forum) held a general council to consider what measures they could take to outwit their common enemy, the cat (read USCIS). Some said this, and some said that; but at last a young mouse got up and said he had a proposal to make, which he thought would meet the case.
"You will all agree," said he, "that our chief danger consists in the sly and treacherous manner in which the enemy approaches us. Now, if we could receive some signal of her approach, we could easily escape from her. I venture, therefore, to propose that a small bell be procured, and attached by a ribbon round the neck of the cat (read campaign/ lawsuits against USCIS) . By this means we should always know when she was about, and could easily retire while she was in the neighborhood."
This proposal met with general applause, until an old mouse got up and said, "That is all very well, but who is to bell the cat?"
The mice looked at one another and nobody spoke. Then the old mouse said, "It is easy to propose difficult remedies."

Got it... Just dont mention anything about H1 for sometime.. if something comes from company/HR tell them you want it done in premium since you (or your wife) might have to visit India soon. If they dont sound keen on doing it in premium, you can offer to pay the premium fee. Most employers dont object.

yes her AP is valid till end of this year. Would it be problem if i take her gc and give it to her outside us??
She can enter without any issue using AP. I was in similar situation when GC approved and mailed for my entire family when we were away from USA. All of us entered using AP without any issues.

Any body has a soft LUD on approved EAD while I 485 pending.
Mine is 485 pending and my AP had (soft) LUD dated mid of Feb 2011.

I have EAD through my wifes employment under Eb3 category with a PD 2005. we are expecting a baby in september, so
There is an option to avail a child care leave(4 years) and the employer will hold the job as this is official policy of the organization that belongs to a state government.Will there be a problem then being in AOS and not working and moreover recently received a RFE for EVL 2 weeks ago and we submitted it already?

NSC is going very tough on A2P issues. I have had a A2P issues on my 140 with Nebraska. Suggest you hire a good attorney and you can resolve this in your favour. PM me if you need any additional information.

My I140 (and I485) were filed in May 2010 (EB2, NSC). My attorney just notified me they received an RFE regarding my eduction. Apparently USCIS needs more details on my MSc degree from Poland (integrated, 5 years) and explanation why is it equivalent US masters degree.
Has anyone had a similar hurdle when filing under EB2 with a degree like that? Should I be terribly worried about getting my I140 approved or do cases like that normally go through (provided that an RFE is correctly replied to)?
