Since my current EAD is expiring Sep 10th, I'm planning to go to the local USCIS office for an interim EAD in first week of Sep.
What is the procedure, do i need to take infopass or any other apoointment or just walk in with papers ?
It's not yet been 90 days since i filed, but i still want to give it a shot. I plan to take a letter from my employer saying without interim EAD (without me being able to work) company would face a setback in a critical phase of project.
I also plan to use such a letter in support of an expedite request.
Gurus please advice:
- How soon should I fax expedite request?
- How soon/late should i go to local USCIS office for interim EAD?
- Could one interfere the other?

As for as I know USCIS local office has stopped issuing interim EAD some where from 2006.
The only option we have is to request for expedite process which we can do by calling the USCIS customer service number. This you can get it in the USCIS website.

I am July 23rd concurent Filer (Texas service Center), day before yesterday received FP notice but no other reciepts. wrote email to Lawyer to update.
Guys, According to following URL, it seems that all july filers should get the RN by now irrespective of the processing centers. I am 24th July filer but still did not get the RNs so far. Are other ppl also in same boat? Please let me know. I am worried now.

What a difference a fraction of a second can make... In this case the goose subject has decided to ruin the photo for me by relieving himself in-flight... Fortunately he did not pass overhead...

Ah, that's more like it. Taken with a 600mm f/4, 1.4x extender, and 12mm extension tube. A little more magnification, and less light... You can focus closer, but you can't focus at infinity anymore.

I found an article that explains the 180 day rule a little better. I believe it is called section 245(k). You should definitely get advice through an experienced attorney to make sure.

Dobbs generated controversy � and faced boycotts � for attacking "illegal aliens" as host of a nightly CNN show. And since leaving the network in December, Dobbs has kept talking about the issue in interviews, in which he's also left open the possibility of running for senator or president.
But Dobbs might want to pause before making illegal immigration a signature campaign issue: At least five illegal immigrants have reportedly worked on his properties.
The liberal Nation magazine, in a yearlong investigation conducted with the Investigative Fund at the Nation Institute, found that "Dobbs has relied for years on undocumented labor for the upkeep of his multimillion-dollar estates and the horses he keeps for his 22-year-old daughter, Hillary, a champion show jumper."
The Nation's Isabel Macdonald writes that while Dobbs has bashed employers for hiring immigrants without papers, he "has been far from vigilant about the status of workers laboring on his own properties." (The Nation has long editorialized against Dobbs and those who agree with him on immigration.)
Dobbs owns a 300-acre estate in Sussex, N.J., and a winter home in West Palm Beach, Fla. His daughter keeps five show horses worth about $1 million each at several stables; the horses are owned by the Dobbs Group, of which Lou Dobbs is president.
Macdonald spoke with several immigrants who were employed to work on winter property and helped with the upkeep of Dobbs' horses at stables in Vermont and Florida. My I140 got rejected with reason "Education Equivalency" not once but twice, because I just have 3 years of Bachelor's degree (BSc Comp Science) and one year of diploma in computer science.
So my employer reappealed it, now the status of my I-140 is showing as "Sent to AAO" would like to know if there are any chance's of getting I140 approved? Did anyone had this kind of issue. Please reply!

How can you use I-140 from Company A and 485 from Company B. I think you can't do it.
But I think you can use AC21 with Company B as 180 days has crossed after filing 485 and your I-140 is pending. This is very risky.
I would suggest you to consult an Attorney before taking any decision.

PRs should not stay abroad for more than a year without a travel permit and should not let their travel permit expire while they are abroad if they do travel abroad for more than one year.
2) Where someone gets their PR through employment, they should work for the employer for at least a few months after receiving their green card. This is because part of the process for applying for the PR was that they stated that they intended to work for the employer. However, where the person intended to continue employment with the petitioner, but there was a change in circumstances that caused the person to not continue working with the employer, this should be OK. However the person should be ready to explain to USCIS why they did not continue with the employer even though they intended to at the time they were granted their PR.
3) PRs can travel abroad. However, they need to be able to continue to show their intent to reside in the US. Employment abroad can be used by CBP or USCIS to question this intent. However if the person is working abroad for their US employer, it should not be an issue.

If your "hunk of junk" tripod wiggles, try using a remote release and/or use the timer to trip the shutter. "Hunk of junk" tripods that wiggle can also be stabilized by hanging a weight from the center column. A weight can be as simple as a small bag of sand or rocks.

What is "Letter of Acquirement’
Can you please tell me what is "Letter of Acquirement’'
My company is Acquired too, the New Employer just gave me a Letter Copy
explaining the Merger, NO Official docs were shared with me.
From whom did u get this letter.
No need of new H1 if company 'B's' HR has agreed to continue with 'A''s employees.
1. Get a EVL letter from company 'B'. (This is assuming name of 'A' will change to 'B' or new name.
2. You need to get a "Letter of Acquirement" from HR of new company (I am assuming that the name of the company is changing as well). If name does not change then you should be fine. If you have to travel out of US, you need to carry latest copy of EVL(of new company) and "Letter of Acquirement" along with you. (I went thru these few years back, PwCC bought over by IBM, immediately after the takeover I travelled out of US and came back without any problems(on H1)) this was quite a while back though, you may want to check with your company attorney though.
Note:
"Letter of Acquirement’ would state that your 'A' company was bought over by 'B' company on Date and name has now changed to 'B'.
